SIAB 7th Annual Charity Golf Outing

In 2016, The Society of Italian American Businessmen hosted what was to be their first annual Charity Golf Tournament, known then as the Italian Irish Klassix Open Charity Golf Tournament, held at the Maryland Golf and Country Clubs. As a start-up, the first SIAB tournament was a success with only 64 golfers or 16 foursomes. The tournament yielded $11,000 in charitable proceeds, distributed evenly between The Harford Family House and Habitat for Humanity, each receiving $5,500.
Today, the Annual SIAB Golf Tournament, with the support of our sponsors, players, and our partnership with the Maryland Golf and Country Clubs, is recognized as one of the best in the region!
In 2022, which sold out with 144 golfers, we were able to award our partners, The Arc NCR and Harford Community Action Agency, a donation of $18,504 each from the proceeds.
SIAB appreciates all of the help provided by our partners, The Arc NCR and the Harford Community Action Agency, for their collaboration and support through volunteering at this year’s golf tournament. Their actions helped make the event a huge success. We would also like to announce that both agencies will be back as our partners for the 7th Annual SIAB Golf Tournament coming June 2023 at the Maryland Golf and Country Clubs.
The Arc NCR empowers people with differing abilities (intellectual and developmental disabilities) to create lives that mirror yours and mine: students attending neighborhood schools, adults going to work and living in their own homes, children living in a safe and supportive home, and individuals enjoying the social and recreational opportunities in Harford and Cecil Counties.
The Harford Community Action Agency, Inc. is dedicated to providing assistance to help all Harford County individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating, and/or budget and family counseling needs. We support and encourage them on their path to self-sufficiency.
